Susan S. Porter is president of inSITE Training & Development, Inc., a training and consulting firm that she started in 1991. inSITE is dedicated to enhancing the quality of corporate training through the efficient use of highly skilled, independent trainers and consultants.
Working directly with training managers and senior management, Susan helps organizations define their training needs in accordance with the company's goals and objectives. She is an educator by training and experience, having taught high school English for 10 years. For five years Susan was Director of Marketing for a PC training and consulting firm, and served seven years on the board of directors of the Baltimore-Washington Information Systems Educators (B-WISE), two years as president.
Susan served six years on the board of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. During that time she worked on numerous committees related to business and education partnerships by forging alliances with employers, labor leaders, government officials and educators. Susan was thrilled to receive the William E. Kidd, Jr. Small Business Training Advocate for the State of Maryland from the U.S. Small Business Administration. A 2001 graduate of Leadership Howard County, she now serves on their Board of Directors as well as the Board of the Howard County Arts Council.
Susan has a Masters in Education from the University of Maryland at College Park. When not in the office, Susan can be seen on various stages throughout the Baltimore Washington area pursuing her passion in theatre.
